To become a certified construction manager you must achieve a bachelor’s degree. In order to be eligible for this certification exam, candidates must complete a four-year course which meets the requirements outlined by the NCCA. This certification will also require that candidates hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Once a person passes this examination he/she is considered a certified construction manager.
Candidates wishing to be certified construction managers must undergo a two-year on-the-job training program. This program consists of eighty hours of classroom instruction and ten hours of practical instruction. Candidates successfully completing the training program will receive their official certification. These programs are offered at many community colleges and vocational schools.
When you apply to take the CCDM certification exam, there are some things you should keep in mind. You must schedule and take the exam within the specific time frame to fulfill all the requirements of your state. You must pass all three areas of the examination in order to complete the certification program.
There are many accredited colleges that offer a formal education and certification programs for people interested in becoming certified construction managers. One way you may find a school that offers these courses is by doing an online search. If you cannot find any online schools that currently offer CCDM certification programs, some colleges may have alternative programs that you can take as a backup if they do not accept your application.
If you already have a bachelor’s degree and are interested in becoming a construction manager, you may want to consider taking additional classes. The pay for these classes will be more than those for a bachelor’s degree, but they will not be required for employment in the construction industry. This is important because most construction managers start out being assistants to foremen and other crew members before advancing to more senior positions. As long as you are able to meet the general qualifications, you can complete the Bachelors of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) program and then take the necessary classes to earn the CCDM certification.
Many people go on to earn Master’s degrees in business administration or other areas of business so they can get a better paying job once their education has been completed. It is a good idea to keep in mind that there will be a significant difference in pay between a construction manager with a Bachelor’s degree and one who have a Master’s degree. While you may be able to find a construction manager position with a high salary, you may also end up with a pay package that does not include benefits. In addition, these positions typically require a higher level of expertise than other entry-level positions.
If you want to become a construction manager, you will need to complete a CCDM training program and then complete one or more certified practical tests. These exams must be passed before you can sit for the actual exam. To help you prepare for this challenging exam, the National Underwriter’s Society (NUS) has developed a comprehensive and interactive program called the OSHA Outreach Training Program. The CCDM training program teaches the skills needed to become a successful and knowledgeable construction manager. With the help of the program, you can learn safety and health, and even how to administer safety and health guidelines to your crew members. The program also helps you prepare for your state exam, because it provides you with sample questions and a detailed explanation of the format.
