The NCACI offers two programs. The first one is called the National Certified Clinical Alcohol Abuse Counselor (NCCAC). The second is the National Certified Treatment and Counseling Specialist (NCATS). Both are nationally recognized by the American Psychological Association (APA) as the best programs in the nation for certified addiction counselors. However, they are also recognized by other professional organizations such as the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the National Association of State Alcoholic Beverage Directors (NASB).
When you work for a rehab center or treatment facility, you may have the opportunity to get a job offering a Level I or II program. In order to pay someone to do those certifications, you have to be a Level I or Level II NCACI. The difference between the two programs is just the scope of the work. A Level I program is the most basic level of counseling. A Level II program is the next level up from basic.
You can find jobs offering NCACI certification in a variety of fields, including clinical and counseling practice. It is important, however, that your client’s be serious about their recovery if you choose to pay someone to do this for you. In order for you to truly benefit as a therapist or counselor, you will need to know how to properly assess a client’s needs. This will take some professional training, but there are many resources available to teach you how to do this.
If you are planning on becoming a Level I NCACI counselor, there are many ways to pay someone to get your certification. You may consider looking into short-term contracts with a private company that is in the business of offering NCACI certified counselors to their clients. These contracts may allow you to work for a specific period of time and come back to do the remaining training at the end of the contract. You can also pay someone to complete your Level II program and then you can move up to the next level.
You can also become certified through several online programs. Many of these programs do not require you to pay someone to get your certification. The materials you need to complete your program can be downloaded online and the requirements can be completed on your own through the course’s website. The certificate will generally be mailed to you via mail, but you can still choose to take it by telephone if you like.
If you would rather pay someone to become a Level I or Level II NCADD certified, you have several choices. One option is to find a local community college that offers NCADD credit. Many community colleges offer coursework that will help you prepare for the National Certification Exam. You can also get your credit through an accredited institute of therapy. The Institute of Cognitive Behavior Therapy is accredited and will require that you have at least an Associate’s degree before you can apply for certification.
Once you become certified, there are still other options for where to get your certification. If you are interested in becoming an alcohol and drug counselor, there are numerous programs out there. Some of them require you to have already completed a Masters’ degree, but there are also a number of programs out there that only require a Bachelor’s degree. The decision is up to you as an individual, but it is always good to explore all your options so that you can choose the one that is best suited for your needs.
