While it’s true that a large percentage of exams will only occur by yourself, it’s actually not uncommon for me to do what I have to do if I have a major or a minor in the future. For the biggest problems there are 1-5 more exam questions that are going to be treated like questions of no interest and that’s where the 2-5 part of the rule can deviate from.
