When it comes to finding a job, many employers conduct background checks and are concerned about a person’s education and training. Along with a Bachelors degree, you will need to obtain at least a Master’s Degree if you wish to become an administrator or supervisor. Many times, the higher your education level, the higher your pay rate will be.
The National Certificate for Social Work (NCSP) is one of the best certifications to have if you wish to be trained in the field of psychology. It is acquired by taking a course of study at a community college or a university that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs or Accrediting Bureau of Social Work Education. One of the first things that will be noticed about a program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs is that it meets all of the requirements of the U.S. Department of Education’s (DOE). You must also pass a background check, an examination, and take a comprehensive oral and written exam. Unlike other certifications such as the National Association for Social Research or the National Council for Social Work Practice that only require a bachelor’s degree, the National Certificate for Social Work requires that a graduate certificate in social work be obtained and in addition, the individual must pass a certification test administered by the National Certification Board for Social Work. All of these programs are offered throughout the United States and around the world.
