You see, there are many vendors offering CPM training and certification. Each of them has their own different approach to teaching their courses. Many times, they will set up a classroom where their students can take their exams. Or, some schools will actually send their students to offshore testing centers where they can sit the test and learn on their own time. And then there are online training packages that give you the freedom to set your own study schedule. There is really something for everyone.
And, best of all, once you get your certification, your license will be recognized by any US agency that may require it. So, if you want to work in an office, start a company, or apply for government funding – CPM certification will get you where you want to go. But let’s face it, passing the CPM exam isn’t going to be the easiest thing in the world. In fact, many CPM trainees fail the exams the first time they take them because they weren’t prepared.
For this reason, when you are studying to become a CPM, you really need to know which books and resources to use to prepare for the exam. There are books on the Project Management Professional Standards Association website that are written to help CPMs learn what they need to know. There are also great videos from Project Management Institute and others that will show you exactly what the exam is like, including the type of questions you’ll be asked.
In addition to these resources, you can get a CPM certification online through one of a handful of companies that offer the exams and training. These are called Certified Management Project Practitioner (CPMP) training centers. The Project Management Institute is a great place to start. Not only do they have a wide variety of courses to choose from, but they also offer online courses as well. If you’re already a member of their organization, you’ll find that they give you the tools, knowledge, and training you need to pass the CPMP Exam.
Some other options include getting a CPMN (Certified Management Project Network) certification or CPMP training course. The CPMN certification is more challenging than the CPMP one. It requires a much higher level of academic preparation and a higher quality of education. If you want to become a CPM, however, you have to get this certification first. The good news is, however, that there are a number of good CPMN training courses online that will help you prepare for the exam.
When it comes to the CPMP exam, preparation for it is only part of the process. You also need to know what type of project you’ll be working on, what the goals are for your project, and how you can measure those goals. For example, do you want to just get paid for your work, or do you want to build projects that improve the organization? Do you want to be an administrator, an architect, or a manager? Once you’ve answered those questions, you can start thinking about how you can learn project management and set up your practice. Some of the best ways to get started are through online courses, tutorials, and workshops.
Most people who aspire to become a certified project management practitioner don’t know where to begin. Luckily, there are many options. Find out what career opportunities are available in your field and find out if CPMN training would fit in with your schedule. You may even be able to take CPMN trainings online.
